I added the hornets nest first thing on Monday morning. It was so humid and hot. I was able to get the nest in with out being attacked. ha ha When all the bikes start up for a ride.....they sound like a swarm.
The wall that the patch "Spirit of America" is painted on measures 14' x 10'. Much time was spent laying the design out and all of the outlining. I love how the Eagles wings stand out on the black back ground. The flames where also tricky but I enjoyed every minute of it. This was all done free hand with no stencils. The Eagle looks fierce and protective....just as he should.
A hole in the wall was masked by the epoxy of a quarter I bummed from David Gann. The flipping of the coin to see who will lead on the second half of their journey through the country side.
The stripping of the road will be added soon. The traffic in the diner at lunch was quite heavy and I didn't want to make a big mess. Tim and Patti have been a joy to work with and I consider them great friends. I was also told if I ever felt the need to add something to go ahead. Ms. Shirley wanted to add a dead armadillo......we will see if one makes it to the road. he he
